Chagall's has a slightly tongue-in-cheek decor, in an old gabled home in the diplomatic quarter. There are a number of intimate dining areas with a patio, and a paved English garden with marble tables and pretty steel chairs. There is a strong French slant but with lots of oriental influences in both cooking and presentation. There are also elements of home cooking with a French provincial touch. Produce is all fresh from the market. Carefully chosen vintage and Cape auction wines are available.
