The Chauvel feels like an old country town cinema. It is a building steeped in history and is beautifully ornate. It actually closed down for a while there, until the public fought against this and had it reopened a few years ago.
Lucky. It's a great place to watch a local film and feel a part of the creative culture. They are host to many a local film premiere which indicates how supportive of Australian film.
