Chico is the tubing capital of the Sacramento Valley. Buy giant inner-tubes (roughly $6) at shops and grocery stores along Nord Avenue, also known as State 32, and ask for directions to Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park . Tubers also like to slip into the Sacramento at the Irvine Finch River Access on State 32 about a half mile east of Hamilton City. On the water, the activity is as relaxing as they come. Lay back, listen to the lapping currents, and unwind.
