Cloghor Portal Tomb is set at the top of a hill with excellent views on all sides of the County Sligo countryside. It is a collapsed portal dolmen aligned north east to south west and its two entrance portals are still standing. They are both very tall, the one at west is 2.7m high and the other is 2.25m high. The third supporting stone lies collapsed outwards to the south west. The large capstone measures 3.4m long, 1.8m wide and narrow to 1m, and due to the collapse of this the third stone has also fallen. It is sandstone and has considerable weathering on the upper side. The chamber was approximately 1.4m in length before the collapse.
