Maggiore's has to be one of the prettiest, and probably the most romantic restaurant in Covent Garden. Carefully styled on the smarter country inns of Provence and Tuscany, the summer affords "al fresco" dining with a large sliding glass conservatory style roof in surroundings adorned in apple blossom. To enhance the experience in the colder months, a roaring fire guarantees a romantic, cosy atmosphere. Adding to those qualities is not only the internationally acclaimed modern European cuisine and the restaurant spot on service. Maggiore's was awarded the prestigious Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence" in 2002, and has since gone on to win the "Best of Award of Excellence" for a further three consecutive years (2003 and 2006). The wine list covers most of the world's major wine regions, with around 2600 wines to choose from and some of the best wines the world has to offer. Moreover the restaurant really is value for money with the set lunch and pre-/post-theatre set menus.
