There are some wonderful walks around this area where you get to see beautiful temples, traditional Thai houses, little speciality shops, great food etc....The best places for walking next to the moat is to start at Suan Proong Gate on Bamrungburi road where it intersects Samlan Road. Turn right and go past Suan Buag Had park and gardens. Go around the corner and walk on Arak Road to Siripoom road. This stretch has beautiful large trees so plenty of shade. On weekends many Thais picnic on the grass lawns under the trees along the moat on Arak Road.
