About

Curran’s Heraldry is a business that dates back to the 1800s, when its namesake, Daniel Curran, began to research coats of arms, family crests and other heritage materials concerning Irish, English, Scottish, Welsh and European surnames. Today, the art of heraldry, or awareness of one’s cultural origins, lives on at Curran’s. People can visit the workshop at Ballycasey Design Centre, which is located in Co Clare near Shannon Airport. The workshop is situated in a centuries-old artisan’s courtyard, surrounded by dozens of craft workshops and an excellent coffee shop, making it the perfect place to spend a day or an afternoon exploring family history.
