Shri Damodar is one of the most shaswat deities presiding in Goa. The Ramnath Damodar devasthan is situated 22 km from Margaon at Jambaulim on the banks of river Kushavati, popularly known as Panta (Panto). Shri Damodar is the Kuladevata of Gaud Saraswat Bhahmins and Gramdevata of thousands residing in Margaon. He is worshipped by Hindus and Christians alike. The temple also houses Shri Laxminarayan, Shri Mulvir, Shri Gomeshwar and Shri Nirakar among other deities.
