Darul Aman Mosque was built in 1984-1986 to replace the Aminah Mosque (Masjid Aminah), which had to be demolished to make way for the redevelopment of the Kampung Ubi and Geylang Serai area. After 18 years of use, the Darul Aman Mosque was given a major facelift which was completed in 2005 at the cost of $3 million.
