About

The second-finest restaurant in town occupies a baronial-looking 19th-century villa that originally functioned as a private house. Inside, in a location very close to the town's Plaza de Toros, you'll find three separate dining rooms, each with white walls and lots of very large windows overlooking the jagged mountains nearby. The well-trained staff opens a dining terrace in nice weather. Dishes are defined as uptown and upscale Andalusian, including a house-made version of gooseliver pâté sweetened with the local Pedro Ximénez, which is usually defined as a reddish-colored dessert wine; filets of freshwater trout served with almond sauce and strips of Iberian ham; grilled filets of Andalusian pork with a truffle sauce; and slices of chocolate tart served with mango-flavored sherbet. If you opt to dine here, you'll be following in the steps of good company. Former clients have included a former president of Spain.
