Derryaun Crafts is a craft school and craft shop set in the beautiful surrounds of Westport, County Mayo. Maintained and run by Suzie Sullivan, who also creates handmade jewellery, her courses encompass many aspects of fibre art, including dyeing, felt, jewellery making, wirework, spinning and weaving. As all materials and equipment are provided to complement each course, all participants need to bring is an interest in learning old and not so old crafts. An award winner in the 2012 RDS National Crafts Competition for her felted merino coat, Suzie was also a finalist with her felted picture 'Songs, Rhymes and Tales,' woven bracelet and ring 'The Briar and the Rose' in the gold, silver and alternative materials category.Sheefry House, Derryaun is a tastefully restored, stone-built farm cottage in an idyllic rural setting only 10km south of the thriving town of Westport, surrounded by the Partry and Sheefry Mountains and Croagh Patrick, Ireland's majestic Holy Mountain.
