One of Calgary's earliest examples of Gothic architecture, the Devenish Heritage Ltd on uptown 17th Avenue now houses a throng of retail stores and professional offices. A heritage site built in 1911, the Devenish is a firm example of historic architecture being used for 21st century commerce. There's a bridal center within the premises that has spawned a plethora of services catering to weddings. There are also doctors' offices, restaurants, and even a consignment store that have all found a home in the Devenish. Being located on trendy 17th Avenue, the Devenish attracts international tourists worldwide.
