Mae Fang National Park in Chiang Mai is one of the many in the area. Covering the Mae Ai, Mae Fang and Chaiprakarn Districts in the northern province of Chiang Mai, the park covers an area of around 524 square kilometers. The second highest mountain in the country, Doi Pha Hom Pog, along with others known for their height like Doi Pu Muen, Doi Laem, and Doi Ang Karng are all found in this park. The Fang Hot-springs, which are 40 springs found in the area, include some big ones that blow up to 30-40 meters. With pleasant weather all year round, the park is home to some rare trees, a variety of butterflies and orchids.
