A major attraction on the Donkin Heritage Trail, the Donkin Pyramid and Lighthouse sit upon the Donkin Reserve, a public open space provided by Sir Rufane Donkin. The pyramid is dedicated to Donkin's wife, Elizabeth, for whom the port is named. The lighthouse was built in 1861 and houses the city's tourist information center.
