The East Clare Walking Festival is an Autumn walking festival with three guided walks daily and a Holy Island Boat Trip. Based in the beautiful heritage village of Tuamgraney this festival will centre on the East Clare Way and several of the beautiful Looped Walks there.Enjoy walks near Slieve Aughty and Slieve Bearnagh; and take in the magnificent scenery of Lough Derg and Lough Graney. This year, there will be a special 'Follow in the Footsteps of Brian Boru' walk with a local historian and a boat trip and guided walk on Holy Island. All walks will be guided and graded so there will be something suitable for walkers of all abilities and ages. The festival begins with a Welcome Reception at Hassett's Lounge, Tuamgraney - the HQ for the weekend. Here you will meet members of the East Clare Walking Club - your guides for the weekend; view the walking routes; and mingle with your fellow walkers. A warm welcome awaits with guest speakers, music and craic!
