Of the restaurants circling the zócalo, this is probably the best. It offers the considerable advantage of an upstairs dining area overlooking the zócalo. This makes for a more peaceful dinner and a better view. Take your pick of purely Mexican specialties (chiles rellenos, moles, carne asada) or dishes with a European twist (snapper filet cooked in olive oil and guajillo chile). I can recommend the tortilla soup and the chile relleno de picadillo.
