The museum is dedicated to the occupations that took pace between 1939 and 1991 and their impact on Estonia and the residents of Estonia. Video, audio and pictorial materials create a concept of the changes and tribulations caused to Estonia by German and Soviet rule. Through items collected from ordinary people, an attempt is made to make sense out of people's fates during this period.
