This tour departs the Discover Ireland Tourist Office Beech Road Killarney and concludes at the Market Cross, in the heart of Killarney town. Explore Killarney will give visitors insight to many aspects of Irish heritage and local traditions. Conor Doolan has created this walking tour in an effort to showcase the towns wide ranging history and culture. Props and memorabilia are used to convey the stories and rich heritage of this county Kerry town and its people. Guests on the Explore Killarney walking tour will be introduced to ancient gaelic sports, the Irish civil war and traditional Irish music. Conor Doolan has graduated from the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. Conor holds an Honours Degree in Heritage Studies and has received training from Fáilte Ireland. Conor Doolan is also a member of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society. Local advice will be available for guests on this tour. Conor is also available for private tours outside of the Summer 2013 schedule.
