About

Despite a great location perched high above the sea with a stunning view over the water, this branch of the well-established Cairo restaurant used to have a questionable reputation. When I revisited the place recently, however, I found that it had improved. I had a light lunch of shish tawook (juicy chunks of chicken breast skewered with roasted peppers and onions) with a side of tahina and fresh-made bread from the on-site oven. The food, washed down with a cold local Stella beer, was excellent. The service wasn't great, but it was good enough by Hurghada standards.
