This facility is used to teach the ancient art of fencing, or how to attack and defend with a sword. Several national champions practice here. The Academy features instruction for all ages, as well as cardiovascular and human performance training equipment, eight regulation fencing strips, a specially cushioned floor to minimize leg stress, and various other training devices. An emphasis is placed on long-term training, with regular progression from one level of instruction to the next. Students develop physical skills and conditioning, as well as the mental skills and discipline necessary to successfully perform fencing actions.
