About

The San Niccolò beach and the umbrellas on the embankment at the Cestello: two ways for sun-bathing, drink something and listen to music in Florence.
Following the example of amazing cities like Paris, Florence has its own beaches along the Arno River. Naturally, bathing is strictly forbidden, but for those of you who don't to go to the swimming pool or to sea beaches, this is a valid alternative.
The first one was the beach in San Niccolò where you can find umbrellas, sun loungers and other wooden gazebos for your relax. And if the heath is unbearable you can have a refreshing shower and WC facilities. On the upper part of the beach there is a kiosk where you can have some food and drinks and the management is "Easy living".
In the San Frediano district on one of the embankment of the Arno River called "pescaia" there is another "beach resort". Umbrellas, sun loungers laid down a synthetic green field with a small swimming pool where it is possible to get some freshness. There is also a restaurant, a lounge bar and some concerts by Italian authors, in fact it is called "Palco d'Autore".
