The Foyle Marina is located on the River Foyle in the historic maritime city of Derry~Londonderry. The marina has water, electricity (including three phase to facilitate repairs), toilets and showers. The Marina has been designed to be fully accessible, incorporating a hoist for lifting disabled people into and out of boats. The EU funded Foyle Marina has over 680 metres of secure, deep water, city centre marina berths, offering visiting boats a world class berthing facility right in the heart of the city of Derry. The marina comprises a cruise ship quay, a large breakwater pontoon and a visitor pontoon. We can accommodate leisure and tourist craft as well as vessels of up to 1,000 tonnes, 130 metres in length and with a draft of 4.5 metres. The marina provides access for electronic key holders only and CCTV monitors the area 24hours a day.The marina is accessed via a well marked navigation channel from the Atlantic leading right into the city. The voyage up Lough Foyle and the lower reaches of the river offers spectacular views of the Donegal hills and wooded shore.The facility is adjacent to a coffee shop and restaurants and, within easy walking distance, there is some of the best shopping in Northern Ireland (department stores plus shopping centres within sight and easy stroll of the berth).The quality of the marina facilities is evidenced by the arrival of the Clipper Round the World Race in summer 2012.
