Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks Display (袋井遠州の花火, ''Fukuroi Enshuu no Hanabi''), (follow the crowd east from the station), [2]. Second Saturday of August. Thousands of people come from around the prefecture and beyond for one of the largest fireworks displays in all of Japan. Dozens of food stalls available. Bring a blanket and a handfan and get there early to find a decent place. Free.
