Whether you are an Irish speaker, someone who would like to learn Irish or a tourist eager to learn about the Irish language and Irish cultural events, Gaelchultúr has something for you.Gaelchultúr was established in 2004 with the aim of promoting various aspects of Irish culture, language, music, song and dance in Dublin city. To this end, Gaelchultúr features a wide range of workshops, classes and cultural events on everything from Celtic Mythology to Irish History to Traditional Music.If you would like to learn or brush up on your Irish, Gaelchultúr provide a range of Irish classes (from Beginners to Advanced) including Night Classes, Lunchtime language classes, Language course for students and Classes in Scottish Gaelic. There are also courses for schools including Conversation classes for Leaving Certificate pupils, Workshops in Irish culture and Music classes for you people. Gaelchultúr also run wonderful workshops on the ancient arts of Sean-nós singing and dancing, Technology and the Irish language and a range of Cultural Workshops for language students and tourists dealing with Céilí Dancing, Irish History, Sean-nós singing, Traditional Music, Celtic Mythology and basic phrases in the Irish language.Gaelchultúr also organise an exciting array of cultural events in the capitol with Irish music concerts, a Curved Street Film Club, exciting drama events, a book club, art exhibitions, and lunchtime reading and discussion groups.A rewarding way to reconnect with the Irish language and Ireland's cultural roots, Gaelchultúr is well worth a look.
