Rock Gallery is a shopping center located in the city of Sao Paulo.Built in 1963 as a more prosaic commercial gallery, this Oscar-Niemeyer-style building became a haven for rock'n'roll fans in the 1970s, when the famous Baratos Afins led an incoming charge of record stores.These days, the Galeria do Rock plays host to more then 180 retailers selling CDs, LPs, videos, accessories, posters and band t-shirts. Hairdressers, piercing and tattoo parlors, and sneaker shops help fans acquire the necessary look, while a floor largely devoted to hip hop culture provides a bit of diversity.
