Located within eye-shot of the famous "Snoopy Rock," a formation that resembles the Peanuts character, The Gallery, as it is called, is renowned for their lunch special and their occasional award-winning Scotch tasting events. One salad in particular consists of finely sliced Asian pear tossed with spinach, arugula, endive, candied pecans and Maytag blue cheese, dressed with an apple cider vinaigrette. Eat inside or out on the porch, which overlooks the resort's swimming pool, red rocks towering in the background. The restaurant also implements what is referred to as "chemical cooking," which is a way of "altering an ingredient so that it tastes the same but is in a different form than diners are used to, such as dusting a dish with beet powder instead of using a whole beet."
