Garden of Contentment Yu Yuan Garden, Truly one of the most beautiful gardens in China, the Garden of Contentment, or the Yu Yuan as it is also called, was originally created in 1559 for a retired school administrator. Unfortunately, over time it has been damaged and rebuilt, but the various features of the garden today are fabulous.
