Gaurikund, among the famous pilgrim centres, is located at the route to the Kedarnath shrine. This holy place houses an ancient temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. There is also a hot water spring located at Gaurikund by the same name. It is believed that a dip in this pond makes a person pure. Additionally, after a dip, a holy darshan in the shrine would fulfil all their desires. This destination also serves as a starting point of a trek to Kedarnath.
