GAZ is located at Itäkeskus shopping center, outside the actual mall on Turunlinnantie. The décor is extraordinary for a disco; GAZ claims to be the only army-style nightclub in Finland. Yes, it is a real jeep and a piece of field artillery that you caught a glimpse of through the windows (covered with camouflage netting). Despite this, there is usually no hostility at GAZ, and the going is very much like that at any other disco on weekends. The clientele consists mainly of people from the nearby districts in their twenties, plus an odd amount of military personnel on leave from the nearby Santahamina boot camp. They are probably the reason for the style GAZ embraces. There are occasional live acts, and admission fees apply only on weekends.
