Girish Chandra Dey & Nakur Chandra Nandy is one of the best places to try these melt in your mouth sweetmeats. They specialise in one kind of Sandesh called "Jal bhara Taal-shaash", which contain a liquidy center obtained from Toddy palm fruits. During winters, they replace the center with a special jaggery made from date palms. The shop has recently started selling fusion sweets where they mix Cadbury chocolates in their Sandesh or create their black forest/ pineapple specialities. The huge variety of plain and very innovative Sandesh they have and the way they experiment with flavors and come up with blackcurrant sandesh, ferrero rocher sandesh, chocolate talsash, but the best ones still are their traditional jolbhora talsash and the ever-faithful light as air golap sondesh.
