Goats Island Beach is located roughly 5km west of Ardmore in County Waterford. The inlet where the beach is located faces south and is sheltered to the west side by the island itself. The beach can be found via a windy lane signposted for Goat Island. Ballyquin Beach is located approximately 4km north east of Ardmore. It is a sandy beach with tide pools and rock fishing. It is popular for walking, fishing, camping and swimming and like Goats Island Beach, has received the National Green Coasts Award 2013.
