About

When Fritz Osterreicher decided to turn part of the land located in Campo Carlo Magno inherited from the imperial house of Austria in a golf course, certainly faced major technical problems and labor.  Nevertheless, it was 1919, his vision prevailed.  He surrendered to the greatest golfer of those times, Henry Cotton, who designed and implemented the field, which was functioning since 1921, but affiliated to the Italian Golf Federation in 1923.  It was thus the third golf course in Italy, after Rome and what dell'Acquasanta to Menaggio and Cadenabbia, affiliates, respectively, in 1907 and 1911 but also the first ever for offshore in Europe.  Since then the course has undergone some changes and improvements, such as the creation of the double tee, but as a whole, the field was born 9-hole is so remained.  The range is characterized by a landscape of absolute beauty nestled in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park with enchanting views of the Brenta Dolomites recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.
