Golfclub Ookmeer operates at Sportpark Ookmeer since September 2001.  This Osdorp golf association is originally from North Amsterdam and was established on April 23, 1987 under the name Open Golfclub Amsterdam North.  The association was housed at the former football club SC Orient.  Popularly, the club was known by the abbreviation name Ogan.  In the years 1987 to 2001 was played on a 9-hole golf course which was built on the sports Weeren to Volendammerweg.  In 1990, a spin-off of the Waterland Golf Club emerged, which is still located in Amsterdam North.
