The rooms at Gorman's Clifftop House & Restaurant are spacious and furnished with thought for your comfort, using traditional handmade waxed pine furniture, set off with beautiful handthrown Louis Mulcahy pottery lamps and tapestry wall hangings courtesy of local tapestry artist and weaver Lisbeth Mulcahy. Each of the bedrooms has a breathtaking view of either the ocean or the mountains. Beds are top quality orthapaedic. Double rooms boast kingsize beds while superior rooms have super kingsize. Twin bed and family rooms are also available. The rooms have direct dial phones, television, clock radio and hairdryer. Eight rooms are fully ensuite with bath and power shower, while the superior rooms are fitted with jacuzzi bath for that extra bit of luxury. One of the ground floor rooms is fitted with bath and separate walk-in shower. Room service is available from 8am to 10pmshould you require anything.Gorman's Clifftop House & Restaurant is situated in the townland of Glaise Bheag, near the small fishing village of Ballydavid, on the north-western tip of the Dingle Peninsula (Corca Dhuibhne). At the front of the house is Smerwick Harbour with a view of the Three Sisters and Sybil Head to your left, and Black Rock and Ballydavid Head to your right. The mountains behind the house are known as the Brandon Range, and Mount Brandon, which is almost central, with a dome shaped summit, is the second highest mountain in Ireland, at 3,127 feet. This is a Gaeltacht where Irish is the first language.Gorman's Clifftop House & Restaurant encourages guests to make themselves at home and come into the lounge, where the fire is lit each evening. It is a place to meet with your hosts and other guests for just a chat or to plan routes, day trips and generally exchange information. There are books, both general reading and books of Irish and local interest, to suit all ages, these are here to be enjoyed and not just as ornaments.
