Gorsam Chorten is situated at a distance of 90 kms from Tawang city and it is the largest stupa of Arunachal Pradesh. This stupa is founded by Monpa monk and Lama Pradhar. Gorsam Chorten is considered to be one of the oldest stupas in that place and this is believed to be built in 12th century by Monpa monk. The stupa is renowned for Buddhism where its spirituality is surrounded there and the cool mountain breeze flap of Buddha has been standing all sides of the stupa. It is the place that really brings a strong and powerful sense of spirituality of Buddhism.
