About

Nestled at the foot of red rock walls is a green swimming hole ideal for hot days, refreshing after a day of hiking. Because there are no facilities, swimmers should bring their own water to Grasshopper Point. This is especially important on hot days. For those seeking a bit of solitude along this popular spot, a wide trail takes visitors beyond the pool. There are some great spots for sprawling in the sun by the stream and reading a book. At the 89A/179 junction, take 179 north approximately two miles and follow the signs to the Grasshopper Point parking lot. Parking is $8 per car or $1 for individual walkers/bicyclists.
