Greenacres Bistro in Selskar, Wexford has firmly established itself as one of Wexford’s finest venues for dining. The Bistro is located on the ground floor surrounded by shelves of the world’s finest wines. By day, Greenacres is a lovely place to visit for coffee and a scone, lunch or a glass of wine. By night, Greenacres transforms to an elegant bistro style restaurant offering seasonally based menus, giving customers great value for money. The creative use of the dining space available and flexibility of the table arrangements allows customers to enjoy large groups dining together or a more intimate approach with a cosy table for two. The ambiance is friendly, relaxed and is enhanced by the helpful service of a very efficient staff. The food is prepared by local Chef Ritchie Trapp, and as Wexford is both an agricultural and maritime hinterland, supplies are sourced locally. The award winning wine list which has been assembled by James O’Connor and Donal Morris is the most extensive in the Country and offers both value, and outstanding quality.Upstairs, Greenacres Art Galleries comprises, four exhibition spaces arranged over two floors with sophisticated lighting and hanging systems. The wonderful spacious area is one of the finest privately run Art Galleries in Ireland. The business is situated in the building that M J O’Connor built in 1894 to carry out his legal practice. James and Paula O’Connor together with Donal Morris relocated here in 2005. In 2006 the premises was substantially renovated to its present condition. Greenacres encompasses fine wines, select foods, spacious Art Galleries and the wonderful tastes of Greenacres Bistro.
