Guinness Fleadh

Temple Bar

About

Celebrations in honour of the national saint used to be confined to one riotously drunken day in Ireland, but now the country rocks for the duration of a 'St. Patrick's festival'. In addition to the parade, street parties, and outdoor céilì, the pubs of Temple Bar host a Fleadh from the 15th to the 17th of March each year. A fleadh is a dispersed and informal concert of traditional Irish music; free gigs are held in most pubs and a larger concert takes place in one of the fine little squares in the Temple Bar area. A great time to be in Dublin.
