Gulmandi

One of the largest bazaars in Aurangabad, Gul Mandi is famous for the Paithani saris which are a hot favorite amongst women shoppers. Even though the mandi does not have any fancy shopping malls, but variety of goods are sold in local shops. Located in the heart of the old Aurangabad, this place is mostly crowded, and is a true example of how a typical Indian marketplace is like. Situated within the main is the famous 'Supari Hanuman' temple, known for it's spire, which is ornately carved and painted. When you come here for shopping, do observe the architecture of the old buildings here, truly fascinating.
