The Gurkha Memorial Museum a must while in Pokhara, Nepal. The Museum was originally founded in 1994 and moved to its present location in 2004 and since its opening in 2005 is now a three floor museum to the very brave Nepalese hill tribe men who joined and fought with the British Army from 1815 to date. In 1947 some regiments transferred to newly independent Indian Army.'It is better to die than to be a coward' the Gurkha soldiers motto, they were very strong, fearless hill tribe men, who gave their lives to help fight wars and battles for and with the British and Indian Armies.
