Before they began their nomadic sojourns in Europe, gypsies originated in India, and this restaurant in Dadar serves Chinese food tuned in to the Indian palate; hence the name Gypsy Chinese. As the name suggests, the focus is on Chinese. I'd recommend the fiery Baby Corn Hot Chilli, Lamb Chilli or Pork Chilli over the passable Thai dishes, although regulars do order Red and Green Curries as well as Coconut Custard. Crispy Vegetables are less spicy, and Shanghai Fish (Pomfret and Basa; pomfret is popular) as well as Crispy Spinach Chicken are tongue-ticklers.
