There will be many performances of Messiah this year, but only one in the magnificent and inspiring settings of Bord Gáis Energy Theatre making this a concert not to be missed and a perfect way for family and friends to get into the festive spirit. Making a welcome return to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is opera's newest star Claudia Boyle who was recipient of the Opera Prize at the 2010 Hertogenbosch International Vocal Completion and was awarded both First Prize and the Critics' Prize at the 2012 Concorso Maria Callas Verona. We are also delighted to welcome home internationally acclaimed Irish Tenor Robin Tritschler. Handel's Messiah was first performed in Fishamble Street in Dublin on 13 April 1742 and is an essential part of the Christmas festivities so come and enjoy this magnificent music with the Irish Philharmonic Choir, the Irish Philharmonic Orchestra and world class soloists all under the baton of the ever charismatic David Brophy.
