Heather Breeze is situated on the most advantageous site on Horn Head, giving you a taste of probably the most dramatic, if not the most dramatic peninsula in County Donegal. Heather Breeze is furnished with all modern conveniences and convenient to golf courses, Glenveagh National Park and forest parks. The entire peninsula has been designated as an Irish Natural Heritage Area and a sanctuary for fauna (specifically sea birds).The house features three bedrooms, two double bedrooms and one twin room; sleeping up to six guests. The bedrooms enjoy panoramic sea or mountain views. There is a bathroom with bath and separate shower. The main living area has tiled floors, a dining table fot six, an electric fireplace, comfortable furniture suite, TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A cot and highchair are available and bed linen and towels are provided free of charge.The natural beauty of Horn Head carries you into a living painted landscape, from the power of the sea to the resilience of the land. This is a quiet and peaceful location yet only a four minute drive from the shops and pubs in Dunfanaghy and 3km from Dunfanaghy Golf Club. There are two superb beaches in the immediate locality. The scenic Killahoey Beach in nearby Dunfanaghy is a 5km stretch of beautiful sand providing safe swimming spots. The equally wonderful Marble Hill Strand is only 1 km away. Overlooking this sheltered beach is the superb new Shandon Hotel Spa and Wellness Centre. This modern Spa has a hydrotherapy floor and eight treatment rooms.Just north of Portnablagh lies Horn Head with its striking cliff scenery and a wide variety of bird life. Perhaps the most dramatic of Donegal’s Peninsulas, Horn Head provides stunning scenic drives and numerous scenic walks. The port of Portnablagh and the nearby village of Dunfanaghy are popular tourist resorts, with lively pubs and a good choice of restaurants.
