Herend Village Pottery

About

Some find the formal Herend porcelain styles stuffy or overly decorative. This is an alternative. Casually designed pottery may be the alternative, but know that this is not associated with the Herend porcelain company. The majolika (village pottery) is a hand-painted folklore-inspired way of making pottery. Choose from a wide variety of colors and patterns or have custom pieces made with names added, such as for a baby's first plate. All pieces are dishwasher and oven safe. Prices are reasonable here and reorders are welcome. The owners are very knowledgeable and eager to assist, but not pushy. Open Tuesday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
