Himalayan Ski Village is an eco-friendly mixed use resort, aimed at developing ski slopes and other recreational facilities in the Himalayan region. The project, conceptualized by Mr. Alfred Ford and Mr. John Sims, involves development of more than 100 acres of land in the hilly terrains of Manali (in the Kullu Valley, India) into a world class tourist destination offering skiing and gondola facilities, residential cum tourist accommodations for approximately 4,500 people and a broad range of community and commercial services in the form of shops, restaurants, convention centres and entertainment centres, with a total capacity to service approximately 10,000 people at any one time.
