Hongfa Temple is the most famous religious site in Shenzhen city. It is located in another famous place, Shenzhen Xianhu Botanical Garden, together with the botanical garden, they are one of the top tourism sites in Shenzhen. It is arguably the only major Buddhist temple in Shenzhen. Shenzhen Hongfa Temple is built on a series of terraces. The first is a courtyard with the screen wall; next is the gate level, with shops and halls as well. Then the Heavenly Kings Hall with the Happy Buddha, with two surrounding halls.
