Having revived the Ottoman-era craft of Iznik tilemaking, the Iznik Foundation is now selling its wares. The trick was identifying the chemical process for achieving the vibrant blues and green pigmentation of the originals. One of the criteria was that the ceramic "canvas" had to be composed of up to 80% quartz. This shop sells hand-painted tiles, platters, urns, and other household decorative items and tableware.
