About
JAM Warehouse in Itaim derives its name from the restaurant's fusion of Japanese food, art and music. Monday through Saturday different house performers play and sing songs from various genres, from musica popular brasileira (MPB) and bossa nova to R&B and rock, with open-mic jam sessions taking over on Sunday. Aside from "cantos e encantos" (songs and enchantments), JAM Warehouse's atmosphere benefits from art exhibitions, a rustic interior decorated with wooden columns and candles, and hand-crafted china. A robust menu features a wide selection of Japanese appetizers, meats, sushi, sashimi, tempura and yakissoba, among other options. Chef suggestions include: grilled salmon with pineapple, shimeji mushrooms and greens; sesame-crusted tuna with cashew sashimi; and, shrimp sauteed in extra-virgin olive oil with shimeji mushroom risotto.
