Jimei Jiageng Park is located in the southeast coast of Xiamen City It was built in memory of Sir Chen Jiageng, namely the founder of Xiamen University, a patriotic overseas Chinese who made great contributions to the development of Xiamen. The park was finished in 1994 in accordance with Sir Chen Jiageng's last wish. It takes up an area of 30,000 sq meters. Its architectural layout was designed according to the Chinese ancient garden-style residence. It has five pavilions, a hall, and a massive sculpture which reveals the contributions made by Sir Chen Jiageng. Besides, it has decorative corridors, bridges, greenbelts, and rivers, etc.
