About

Kamayan is from a Pilipino rootword "kamay" meaning hand. Kamayan is as the name implies, eating with the bare hands. Eating with the hands is not only fun way of ingesting your favorite food but it also the most natural thing in the world. The food not only tastes better eating with the hands but also you can manipulate the food especially those with bones so that the entry to your mouth is the best ever. And besides, before the invention of the spoon and fork and even the chopsticks, the hands are the most natural thing to use when eating. Imagine eating foods like lobster, crabs, prawns, mussels, suckling pig, fried chicken using the spoon and fork Now, try eating them with the hands and surely you can eat more delightfully. Although the norm in the restaurant is the use of the hands which you can actually wash before eating in their wash facilities, you can always opt to use the spoon and fork. Now, let me add that the restaurant became famous not because of the name and its implications but because the food there is world-class!
